Arcade Fire - Reflektor [12" Vinyl]

by Paul Downey Rating:9.5 Release Date:2013-09-09

It takes just 15 seconds to remind us why we have missed Arcade Fire, as comeback single 'Reflektor' infects our airwaves. Despite being an epic seven-minutes-and-32-seconds, it manages to keep you interested with an electro rhythm so delicious you could have it for breakfast, dinner and tea. 'Reflektor' doesn't rip up the form book of previous Arcade efforts, but more re-affirms their high standing in the music world as one of the gems of the modern era.

It's almost as if they've never been away. The album of the same name is coming at the end of this month, and hopefully the debut single is just the tip of the iceberg as they try to outdo the brilliance of 2010's The Suburbs.

There are some massive riffs on Circles. It's a great album to travel to, trancey and full of recurring motifs. You will not be disappointed if you like Mazes!
