Miniature Dinosaurs - Alligator

by Dan Clay Rating:8 Release Date:2011-10-31

The third single from their Off the Radio EP sees Stirling's Miniature Dinosaurs in rocky, melodic mood. Building to a Killers-like crescendo, '

' makes good use of its synth/guitar backing as Barry Macleans' voice (a cross between Brandon Flowers and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah's Alec Ounsworth) makes a good impression

"It was a mistake, and that was his take. I got a pretty good view," he sings over an impressively strong track, but then Scotland's no stranger to good guitar bands, with Teenage Fanclub, Franz Ferdinand and co already leading the way.

For Miniature Dinosaurs, they pack a mighty sound.
