Teeth - Care Bear

by Rich Morris Rating:7 Release Date:2011-07-25

What with the hirsute, bare-bottomed idol on the cover and a video featuring male Teeth fans dragging up in their bedrooms, there's no mistaking the queer intentions of Teeth's second single. However, 'Care Bear' is no fluffy, pink-pound anthem, looking instead to the electro-scum sounds of Crystal Castles. It's got some fantastic blips and bloops and squelchy bass sounds, but singer Veronica's Alice Glass wails are repetitive and a little grating. It's not up there with their awesome debut single, 'See Spaces', but it'll probably be a fantastic motivator for jumping on whoever's next to you in the moshpit when you see this band live.

Hands down, the worst artwork of the year.
