'Behold a Marvel in the Darkness' begins much calmer than the San Francisco foursome's previous stuff, taking on a harmonious, nursery-rhyme style of melodies. With singer Satomi Matsuzaki's native Tokyo slur creating a lullaby of vocals, this song is a bit of a slow burner. However, the interjection of distant guitar solos, reminiscent of early British Sea Power, makes this latest release a pleasurable listen.
