The Cavemen - Death Row EP

by Steve Ricciutti Rating:8 Release Date:2017-06-02

New Zealanders The Cavemen, who are releasing their latest EP Death Row are about as welcome as a sweaty mosh pit on a beer, piss, and puke stained floor, and I mean that in the best possible way.

Comprised of three songs coming in around six minutes total, with screeching vocals, frantic guitars, and pounding drums, Death Row pummeled my body with such ferocity and intensity that I felt like someone had just jammed a syringe full of coke into my butt cheek.

From the self-explanatory Killing Myself to Live, through the sexually charged, John-and-Exene on crank Dog on a Chain, to the title track begging, no demanding that someone, anyone “Play some goddamn rock and roll,” this is the kind of music that reminds us that rock and roll begins and ends with the fuck-you attitude that The Caveman have in spades. Put this on before you head out of the house and then charge like a bull into the first person you encounter. Share the love.
