Where the City Meets the Sky - Chasing Yesterday: The Remixes is a compilation of all the remixes from Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds number one charting album, Chasing Yesterday. The disco-tinged, string-swathed 'Ballad of the Mighty I' gets a slightly trippy and groovier reworking with extensive swathes of instrumentation as Beyond The Wizard's Sleeve Re-Animation (as well as an instrumental).

The glam-rocking 'In the Heat of the Moment' gets a synth reworking with heavier beats and sparse, disembodied vocals thanks to Andrew Weatherall, as well as a stripped, electronic, echoey treatment as Toydrum Remix.

The originally jazzy acoustic groovy "Riverman" features more horns and again, extensive swathes of instrumentation as Beyond The Wizard's Sleeve Re-Animation (as well as an instrumental).

The originally trippy meandering "The Right Stuff" is given a dance makeover with undulating synths as Psychemagik Remix (previously unreleased), a spare somber-to-racuous makeover (by Massive Attack's 3D) as 3D Version 1, and a skeletal trippy makeover as 3D Version 2.

The mellotron-driven ballad "The Girl With X-Ray Eyes" gets slowed down and a children's choir added along with a trippy coda as David Holmes Rework and an instrumental (both previously unreleased).

Essential for any Noel Gallagher fan.
