Dan Deacon announces new album, Gliss Riffer, out Feb 23

Gliss Riffer marks new territory for Deacon who, Following up on the release of his large ensemble-based recordings - 2009’s Bromst and 2012’s America - Dan Deacon has announced a return to simpler writing and recording with new self-produced album Gliss Riffer, which he says will be similar to 2007’s Spiderman of the Rings.
The Disklavier, a MIDI-fed player piano first heard on Bromst, is present on the new record. Cross-rhythms suggestive of Deacon’s art music work (including a Carnegie Hall performance and film score for Francis Ford Coppola) are also in evidence.

Gliss Riffer will be available on CD, LP, and digitally. A special pre-order is available now through Domino with limited edition red vinyl (limited to 777) and a limited edition 12in inflatable hand. Order it now from Domino or digitally from iTunes and receive an instant download of ‘Feel the Lightning’.
