Frankie Cosmos Announce New Album and Tour

The always prolific Greta Kline and her band Frankie Cosmos return barely a year after the acclaimed Vessel with another full length album, Close It Quietly. The album will release on September 6 and is available for preorder from SubPop here. Working with Gabe Wax as engineer/co-producer (Wax has worked with War on Drugs among others), the remaining band members remain intact: Lauren Martin (synths); Luke Pyenson (drums); and Alex Bailey (bass). The album was recorded at Brooklyn's Figure 8 studios and Kline proclaims that she approached her songwriting with more of an outward focus this time around. This is confirmed straight off with the first track's opening lyric: "The world is crumbling and I don't have much to say". Of course Kline always has something to say and though no-doubt many of them are short, Close It Quietly touts 21 songs. The first single and video, 'Windows', is available below. The band will also be embarking on an extensive tour this Fall including East Coast US, EU, and then back to West Coast US. All album tracks and tour dates listed below.
