Austin band Duncan Fellows announce Eyelids Shut EP, release single

Austin’s Duncan Fellows return after 2017’s spaced out pop album, Both Sides of the Ceiling, with a four-song EP titled Eyelids Shut due to be released this Summer on Warner Brothers' new distribution platform Level. Today they also released the EP's first single ‘Deathwish Fish’. Of the single, band co-founder Cullen Trevino tells Soundblab, “the song sees the narrator jumping between timelines while trying to understand the weight of loss and its ramifications”. But if that sounds daunting, never fear, the wall of brooding guitars at the beginning of the song gives way to one of the band’s trademark linear pop tunes that lazily builds as it goes. Eyelids Shut's full tracklist is as follows:
- Deathwish Fish
- Cursive
- Aliens
- Eyelids Shut
The band has been more active of late on the touring scene as well, branching out from their native Texas. The group is appearing at this week's Shaky Knees Festival in Atlanta (Soundblab will be there) and has some upcoming tour dates with Wilderado continuing into May.
