My Bloody Valentine play new track at Robert Smith's Meltdown

My Bloody Valentine played Meltdown on Saturday 23rd June and played a brand new track. The festival, curated by The Cure's Robert Smith saw a host of legends play throughout the week, most of whom covered classic Cure songs in their set. My Bloody Valentine on the other hand debuted a new track titled (for now at least) New Song 1.
Anyone who has ever witnessed MBV live will know, they sound like a jet engine and New Song 1 does not disappoint. Thanks to a fan at the gig, you can check out the track below.
Kevin Shields has promised there'll be a new MBV EP or album later this year.
