Shonen Knife - UK Tour kicks off today

Blink and you’ll have missed it but the sun actually came out yesterday. A sure sign that Spring is reluctantly climbing out from under its rock and finally getting on with the job at hand. What better way to capitalise on the pleasant weather than going to see Japan’s finest punk rock optimists Shonen Knife?
The band has been going strong since 1981 and have so far managed to release 20 (yes, that’s twenty) studio albums. The line-up currently consists of original members Naoko Yamano and her sister Atsuko Yamano as well as drummer Risa Kawano.
I was lucky enough to see them play at The Brudenell Social Club two years ago and can absolutely guarantee that they will change your life for the better. Kurt Cobain was a big fan and you will be to.
They’re in Bournemouth tonight and then continuing their tour around the UK. Don’t miss out.
