LAMB return with new single and 21st anniversary tour

Widely regarded as pioneers of the ‘90’s electronic scene, Lamb mark the 21st anniversary of their seminal eponymous debut album with an autumn tour – and the release of new material.

Earlier this year the musical partnership of Andy Barlow and Lou Rhodes reconvened in Barlow’s Sussex studio in order to revisit ‘Lamb’ and work on live interpretations of the songs.  This period in the studio reignited the creative process and new material began to take shape.  Amongst the songs was “Illumina”, stream below.

A heavy slice of dub electronica, with the beguiling vocals of Lou Rhodes, the heart of Lamb beats as deep and strong as ever on new single Illumina.  Andy Barlow’s rich production, rock solid beats and broad palette of industrial, organic and digital sound, combine with Lou Rhodes seductive vocals providing a timely reminder of their distinct place in the musical firmament.

“Illumina was inspired by the way two people can see the same situation in very different ways and this difference, rather than being a point of conflict, brings a kind of illumination. In love we come together to learn and shine light in each other’s shadows…” explains Rhodes.

The autumn European tour celebrates the 21st anniversary of Lamb’s ground breaking debut with the album played in it’s entirety and a live band including the trumpet-player and double-bassist who played on the original record.

Lamb play the following dates kicking off on September 30th in Dublin and including a show at Shepherds Bush Empire on October 13th.  Tickets are available now from http://lambofficial.com

A limited edition of 500 gold vinyl copies of ‘Lamb’ will also be available to celebrate the 21st anniversary.
