Excellent review! And am so happy that WWPJ have maintained such a high level of songwriting and craftsmanship. Bummed I missed out on this review, but am really glad you did a thorough job instead. :)

Great review! This is a band I really wish had let go of the Alice in Chains name and just started again with a new name. Sure there's lots of similarities, and all same members except one, but they could have also pushed in a new, and maybe more satisfying, direction.

Thanks James! The music never grows old. :)

Supertramp are great, but they got their pop crossover exactly right, just like Queen with Bohemian Rhapsody. 'Pure' prog rock is difficult for most like jazz fusion at its extremes. No doubt this is a classic though - even punk band Bad Religion make nods to it.

Top review Jack. Many an hour as a teenager looping this on my bedroom cassette player. ;)

I remember Fate of Nations coming out in '93 and loving it. There's a magic when Plant is with the right musicians, but finding those can be a tricky business, especially with the legacy that he has. Kevin Scott MacMichael (Cutting Crew) was that kind of individualistic talent to make it work.

Great review! It's hard to believe it could be that good, but if it is, it shows what taking a long break can do to revitalise!

It's hard to believe this has happened - I was looking forward to more music by Soundgarden with those pipes of his still in full force. Songs like 'Tighter and Tighter' and 'Overfloater' had really deep meaning for me, and 'Pretty Noose' and 'Let Me Drown' are among my all-time favourites.

Well, 'An Unkind' seems to hark back to those early days and that's always been a favourite of mine.
