Couldn't agree more. Gives Way Out Weather a run for it's money. Great review for a great album.

Agreed, though I'd say this is their best since No Color. Glad to have them back on track, though I doubt it'll last.

Solid review Mark. Vile's been kind of hit-or-miss for me, and this one falls in that latter half. I feel like he's gotten into this groove and won't venture out of it anymore. Should have probably named the album "One Trick Ponies" b/c that's what it feels like these days after these last few.

She continues to impress me. I loved Puberty 2, dunno if I'd consider this better, but at least on par. Great review.

This is the most accurate and well put review I've found of this album. Too often I find people just gushing over this band, but they haven't really evolved that much.

Yeah some of these collabs don't really work too well in the grand scheme of the album, and it's kind of a shame that he's pushing an album so full of collabs when he's a capable writer on his own. Good review, and I agree with your points Mark.

They played Liberty Hall in Lawrence (40 miles West of KC), a few years back. Much smaller venue than the Uptown. The hamster ball was touching the balcony. Didn't get tickets for it, but I know several who went. Would have been one for the ages.

The 2010 show that I saw was during the Embryonic tour, which was still excellent but in a large amphitheater. I'm a fan of Embryonic, and The Terror is okay, but Oczy Mlody was a misfire to me.

Thanks Mark! Definitely has that chamber feel to it, and - given his childhood spent singing in church - makes perfect sense.
