I thank Bill G for turning me on to this group! Thank You Scientist is an amazing group of musicians creating exciting, wonderful music! This new album sounds awesome! I can't wait to get my hands on the CD! TYS's earlier work is also outstanding! Great review, Bill!
Wow! This is quite a list! There is so much to explore! You know that I need more music to listen to! ;-) I especially agree with the Soft Machine albums "Bundles" and "Softs" as well as the Fourth Way! Harvest is such a wild label!

Each and every one of these albums is a gem! The variety is stunning and the musicianship is of the highest quality. The recordings are incredibly pristine and beautiful, monuments to technological and scientific knowledge put in service to the listener's desire to hear the music as if one was present at the recording. This year marks the 50th anniversary of ECM Records and I have been present for all of it! I consider these recordings as an important part of my life and I have a difficult time imagining what my life would be like without them. That's how much I love them! If you are unfamiliar with this record label, do yourself a favor and explore and then purchase a couple of them. You will not be disappointed!
Personally, the Mosquitoes were a little rough! But, the Honeybees were sweet and smooth! Even the Skeeters thought so! They were so shook they took the last train to Splitsville, Man!

Excellent music gets strangely transformed into disembodied otherness when it ends up in one of those Time-Life-type collections. I think Drenge is too vibrant and challenging to end up on one of those things!
