First album I ever bought by him was Shoot Out The Lights based solely on reading the review in Rolling Stone. Life changing for sure and I got my hands on many others including Fairport Convention. I had a cassette of an acoustic solo performance (I think live) that was really good too.

Great color on the festival and great photos. I know it's a chore. Just five more days to go!

One of my brother's favorite genres. I forwarded this list to him. Love Charlie Feathers and Johnny Burnette. Nice list!

Wow - what a list! One of my favorites is the Smithsonian Anthology of Folk Music - the Harry Smith compiled one. I dove into that and starting buying stuff from the country blues artists like crazy. Went down that rat hole for a couple of years and almost never returned! Sounds of the South compilation - Alan Lomax one is good too but probably more for historical reasons than for fun.

Thanks James. It's such a great record. Saw a couple of other 10/10 reviews out there so hopefully it stays on the radar.

Great review. TVZ is one of my faves and love Live at The Old Quarter. When I was too young to know better, I did see him get up and sing one line at someone else's show. A minor brush with a legend. Looking forward to hearing this.

He definitely keeps tweaking his songs which always makes things interesting.

Wow - didn't know Jad Fair and Co were still kicking around. Listened to the Coo Coo Rockin' Time offshoot album back in the day. Probably one too many times!

Great review Brian. I was lucky to catch her set at Moon River festival last Fall. I was blown away by her energy and strong voice. She takes her role as civil rights soldier seriously and it was inspiring to see.

Definitely not a great movie. How do you steer a boat blindfolded for two days? First Quiet Place, now this, I'm working on a screenplay involving monsters that only kill you if they can smell you.
