Great Singer-songwriters from the 60s, 70s and 80s
Well, this isn't all English, Scottish, and Welsh folk music, because there's some electric and rather eccentric stuff here. But these artists all played an instrument, sang, and occasionally wrote the odd tune. There are a few "trad. arr. " songs mixed in with originals. These are albums from the 60's, 70's, and 80's. And some of these people are still doing it today! Now, there are great singer-songwriters in the current milieu like Thea Gilmore, James Yorkston, Karine Polwart, Laura Marling, and Seth Lakeman. But that's another list, as is one given to Irish musicians. By the way, big names like Rod Stewart, Elton John, and Paul McCartney have been omitted in order to protect the innocent.
