While he's best known for two key stints as the guitarist for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, John Frusciante also has a large solo discography of his own solo work (not to mention collaborations numerous other bands and musicians he's been involved with, the Mars Volta being one example). His growth has seen him shun the guitar for more electronic extremes, even taking on the moniker 'Trickfinger' when he strays into acid-house, but no matter where his whims (or demons) have taken him over the years, his sense of melody is undeniable and easily identifiable.
