Imperial Wax is comprised of three 11 year veterans in the longest serving and last line up of The Fall, soon to be releasing their debut album Gastwerk Saboteurs, via Saustex Records on 17 May. The band remembers their favourite albums from their time in The Fall that their legendary band leader, Mark E. Smith approved of:

"Although our shows with The Fall would never be predictable, one thing we could always rely on was the hotel room, after hours drinking, laughing our heads off over and over again at the same long drawn out tales. From our tiny travel speakers played the soundtrack to all this. Albums would get short shrift from Mark if they weren't up to scratch. Here below are the stalwarts, the ones that got the nod. Some requested, some sneaked in, some just seemed to fit. Listening to these now can bring us right back to those times and back to those hotel rooms." Click an album below to read a review

Awesome list and very cool thing to share! I miss Mark E. Smith and his contributions to the craft very much. I managed to review three of these classic albums for our site, so I guess I must have had some semblance of similar taste. Love...
