Soundblab is returning for coverage of Charleston, S.C.'s High Water Festival in less than two weeks. It's the third year of the festival and Soundblab's second year of coverage. High Water has an Americana focus, but a couple of indie artists have infiltrated the ranks over the years (last year Weaves, Hamilton Leithouser, and Jeff Tweedy were all on board). This year we are excited to see Mitski and Jenny Lewis along with a deep line-up of Americana/folk/singer-songwriter artists. The Saturday/Sunday festival takes place in Waterfront Park in North Charleston and packs as much Southern charm as its host city and organizers, Shovels & Rope. Many of these artists have new music out as well and limited tickets are still available if you can make your way over. Here are some great albums from our Top 10 picks of the festival.... High Water is a wonderful festival with many wonderful music surprises, all on the North Charleston waterfront. I am sad I won't be there this year!
