Albums/bands hipsters haven't quite gentrified. Bill Fox was a massive influence on Elliott Smith and his band, The Mice are great. Smoke is Americana Joy Division with coronet and cello and a front man that sounds like Tom Waits. Jack Logan is the weird South answer to Elvis Costello and Flannery O' Connor. Love that Jeremy Gluck album and Johnny Dowd is a personal favourite, man's a genius!
