Unsigned Mixtape

The Unsigned Mixtape - an excellent opportunity for all unsigned artists

To be considered for the mix, you must appeal to our members and therefore be an alternative/indie type artist. This could be anything from guitar based, electronic, hip hop or anything as long as it's not mainstream.

We also ask that your tracks be decent recordings. This is a great opportunity to be heard by not only our members and potential fans but important people in the record industry. So think before you send us those rough demos and make the most of this chance.

As well as your track being on our home page, we'll be sending out weekly mailers to people in the industry, record labels, venue owners and management.

All we ask in return is that you sign up to Soundblab and create your own page. This is similar to a myspace but without the long load times and the people leaving messages promoting themselves. Our pages are at an early stage but we have lots planned over the coming months that will outshine myspace. Very soon we'll be launching our streaming music player, so anyone clicking your track in the mixtape will be able to listen to more of your music on your page and become a fan.

The only thing we need right now though is a track, sent either direct, or via yousendit to info@soundblab.com. We'll then get back with instructions on how to set up your Soundblab page and a rough idea of when your track will be posted.

That's it. There's no special criteria, if we feel you will appeal to our members and your tracks are well recorded, you're in. We're not looking for a certain type of band, we just want to give everyone a fair chance to be heard.
