Mixing the electro-burble of the Nightrider theme with new wave guitars, shout-along vocals and a lilting pop-reggae influence, 'Off Our Backs' is certainly a lot fun, although it fails to pack the punch of its predecessor, the pop-meets-queer-politics whammy of 'Credit Card Babie$'. Still, everything about this song, from the carnival-esque percussion to the choppy, bouncy rhythm and the anthemic chorus positively screams 'party time!', which bodes well indeed for MEN's forthcoming album.
