The band's name may be a big give away, but The Holidays are all about the good times. Right from the start of the aptly titled 'Golden Sky' we are transported to a world of eternal summer, where the beats and the grooves flow so freely and enchant the listener.

Lead vocalist Simon Jones sings of "waters rising" and "tides take you away" and certainly paints a very pleasant picture for those of us staring out of rain-drenched windows. B-side 'Heavy Feathers' is more of the same, and certainly recalls the Delays' debut 'Faded Seaside Glamour' but is given an almost Caribbean feel with its bongo drums employed throughout.

Even though there is just two tracks here, there is plenty to suggest that The Holidays could prolong that summer feeling a lot longer.
